Raya Kassisieh Born 1991 in Amman, Jordan. Lives and works between Amman and London.
Kassisieh is a Palestinian-Jordanian interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans sculpture, installation, painting, and writing. Working across metal, fibre, and pigment, in both intimate and industrial contexts, she addresses grief, labour, and inheritance through the body’s engagement with materials and process. The rose recurs as a form that carries personal, religious, and historical meaning. Much of her work is made with craftswomen and workshop crews, and the material records the effort of its making.
Kassisieh studied Fashion Design at Pratt Institute, New York, and completed an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art, London.
Recent exhibitions include Robilant Gallery, London (2026); SAMoCA, Riyadh (2026); the Islamic Art Biennale, Jeddah (2025); Hunna Art, Kuwait (2024); Bermondsey Project Space, London (2024); Bayt Al Mamzar, Dubai (2022); Asia Culture Center, Gwangju (2022); and Hangar Space, Amman (2022).
